Who is Freshed

Freshed is merely the label affixed to the development talents provided by me, Josh Lipinski.  I'm 27, and have a few years (5+) of experience as a full-time web developer for various companies in the Northern Berkshire (Massachusetts) area.  The freelance/independent projects featured on this site, though, are separate from my other employment, and these are the projects that you should pay attention to.  Primarily because they have been designed, built, maintained, redesigned, revised, and maintained entirely by me.

Each website is maintained using a custom CMS, built by me and exclusive to Freshed. When it comes to this stuff, I'm a back-end PHP/MySQL programmer, and also a front-end HTML, CSS, Javascript (AJAX, jQuery) coder, as well as a designer.  I've got a good amount of knowledge of some cool API's too, including Facebook's API, Twitter, Salesforce.com, Google Maps, setting up Google Docs to feed it web leads directly into ready-made spreadsheets, and the integration of RETS to display real estate listings.  Click to view my formal resume (PDF).

Other than pursuing good projects to add to the freshed.com portfolio, I'm an athletics nut and a new-age explorer.  I frequently run 5k's and other races throughout the spring/summer/fall, snowshoe and ski (x-c & downhill) in the winter, play in organized & pickup football leagues, love to play hoop, and will get on a bike for some good cycling rides or mountain bike trails.  And when I'm not being competitive I'm seeking something new or inspirational, be it a waterfall or natural panorama, or just a new restaurant in a new place.  And many times when I embark on one of my outdoor quests, I'll have a fishing pole in hand, wearing a backpack to stow my catch. Find some of my race results on Athlinks, and see some of my uploaded photos on Flickr.
